Ladies Fun, Laughter and Wellbeing Wednesdays

The programme was put together based on the Children?s Centres knowledge of their community, and the target groups they wanted to reach out to and attract.
All the sessions proved to be extremely popular, and we consistently had between 10-15 ladies attend the sessions. October begun with a re-launch of our Books on Prescription service. We extended the book selections with an additional 30 titles, and have included 4 talking books that now cover a much broader range of topics. This has proven to be a very popular service, with 1000?s of book issues in it?s first year of running.
If you would like copies of the booklets please contact us, or visit your local Sandwell library for more information.

Obviously we didn?t get everything right the first time, but we learned a lot from these first workshops! And here are some of the things they said on their tree ...

- Life
- Pay Day
- An empty mind and a warm bath
- My daughters smile
- Achievable if you?re willing to work at it
- Feeling secure, with a loving family and kind friends
- Being with the ones you love and eating chocolate Mmmm
- Hearing birdsong on a sunny autumn day and soaking in a warm bath
- Magners cider, and lots of it!
- Waking up to all my kids jumping around and smiling.
- Making other people happy
- Eating Chocolate
- Being who you are
- Snuggling up on the sofa with a cup of tea…
